DFL Chairman Ken Martin denounced Republican Congressional Candidate Tyler Kistner for a recent fundraising drive that dismissed reaction to the deadly attack on the United States Capitol as “fake moral outrage.” In a recent fundraising email, Kistner criticized those engaged in a bipartisan effort to ensure accountability for the President’s crimes as “playing partisan games,” and urged his followers to donate to his campaign in the name of “liberty, prosperity, and Law and Order.”

Today, based on new reporting from CNN, the Minnesota DFL Party is sharply criticizing Tom Emmer for selling his party out to Marjorie Taylor Greene in exchange for campaign cash.

Ken Martin was unanimously reelected President of the Association of State Democratic Committees (ASDC), the organization within the Democratic National Committee (DNC) that works to organize, coordinate with, and advocate for Democratic State Parties across the nation. Martin was first elected to lead the ASDC in 2017. In addition to this role, Martin also serves as the Chairman of the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party.

Today, DFL Party leaders held a press conference calling on Minnesota Republican leaders to correct the election-related disinformation they have spread and say to their base, with no hedging or qualifying, that the 2020 elections were free and fair and that Joe Biden is the President-elect.

DFL Chairman Ken Martin slammed Republican Congressional Candidate Tyler Kistner for his inflammatory attacks on Minnesota’s elections and for encouraging “patriots” to “fight back to protect America.” Kistner, who lost his bid to unseat U.S. Representative Angie Craig by thousands of votes last November, filed numerous legal challenges seeking to throw out the results of a legitimate election and repeatedly called into question the validity of November’s results.
