DFL Statement on Anniversary of January 6

ST PAUL –Today, on the three-year anniversary of Donald Trump inciting a violent insurrection on the United States Capitol, DFL Chairman Ken Martin released the following statement:
“Three years ago, Minnesotans watched as Donald Trump encouraged a violent mob to storm the United States Capitol and attack law enforcement in an attempt to remain in power. After driving our democracy to the brink of ruin on January 6, Trump is now threatening to throw our nation into chaos once again. But instead of standing up for our democracy, Minnesota Republicans have fully embraced Donald Trump and the Big Lie. Minnesotans value our democracy and freedoms and want them strengthened, not attacked.”
