We invite you to join us at the monthly meeting of the SD36 Central Committee.  The meeting is held on the first Tuesday of each month.  Due to COVID-19, all Central Committee meetings will be held via Zoom until further notice.  If you are interested in attending or have other questions about getting involved, please contact us at [email protected] or visit us on Facebook.

SD36 Committees
Senate District 36 has four Committees that guide its work and complete projects.  The Committees meet separately from our monthly Central Committee meetings.  Below are descriptions of the Committees and a sign-up contact email.  If you have questions please contact us at [email protected]

Outreach & Inclusion

This committee is focused on encouraging young people, seniors, women, persons living with disabilities, and other historically underrepresented groups whether by race, ethnic group, immigration status, consideration of faith, gender identity, sexual orientation, or other protected status, to participate in party affairs at every level.  They also help serve populations in need.

Events

The primary role of this committee is to organize events in Senate District 36 in order to expand DFL visibility, increase involvement, and welcome more people into the party.

Candidate Recruitment

This committee works to identify and form relationships with local leaders with the goal of encouraging active community members to run for office in the district. The committee identifies candidates for state, county, city and township offices along with school boards.

Fundraising

This committee works to organize events to raise funds for Senate District 36.  Such funds are used primarily to make contributions to elected state positions within our senate district as well as other local offices.  These funds also support costs associated with participating in events, caucus and convention expenses, and senate district business.
