Job Summary:
Klobuchar For Minnesota is seeking a dynamic and experienced Regional Political Organizing Director to join Klobuchar For Minnesota. As Regional Political Organizing Director, you will play a pivotal role in building and leading a dedicated team of organizers, volunteers, and activists to drive our campaign’s grassroots efforts throughout the state of Minnesota. Our organizing program is committed to the belief that campaigns are won in the field. While this starts with talking to every voter, we aim to engage with communities on a deeper level, and lay the organizing groundwork for years to come.
Responsibilities:
- Team Management:
- Recruit, train, and manage a team of organizers and volunteers within the region.
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to enable their team’s success in achieving weekly metric campaign goals.
- Ensure the effective execution of the campaign’s field plan, including voter outreach, persuasion, and mobilization efforts.
- Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that encourages continuous learning and improvement.
- Community Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community leaders, local organizations, and key stakeholders.
- Work closely with senior department leadership to develop and implement a comprehensive political strategy for the region.
- Represent the campaign at local events, meetings, and forums to enhance community engagement and support.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in political or advocacy organizing, with a minimum of 1 full cycle of organizing experience.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic organizing plans.
- Familiarity with voter engagement tools, databases, and campaign technology.
- Willingness to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by the campaign schedule.
Compensation: This position is salaried, at $5,700/mo. Staff also receive a competitive benefits package including health care and dental.
