Following our listening sessions across the state, one thing is clear: folks are ready to get to work pushing back on the Trump administration’s harmful actions. The DFL is ready to launch our plan to get to work. We’re calling on DFLers to participate in our Summer of Action. During the Kick-Off week of May 27-31, we need you to step up and join us as we Listen, Learn, and Lead.

Host a Personal Stories Postcard Party
Listening to and sharing our personal stories is one of the most powerful ways we can influence elected officials. Sign up to host a post card writing party with your friends and neighbors! You’ll watch a short training video on telling impactful personal stories and then write a postcard to your Republican members of Congress telling them how their policies have harmed us and our loved ones.
Sign up here and we’ll provide you with a how to guide, a link to the training video, and mail you blank postcards. For questions, reach out to tschwind@dfl.org

I Want to Run for Office 101
Have you ever thought about running for office, but didn’t know where to start? Join a Zoom meeting with campaign professionals at the MN DFL for a short intro to running for office. Learn about: making the decision to run for office; what type of office best fits your interests, and what offices may be on the ballot in 2025-2026; how to build your campaign team; how to raise money for your campaign; and how to get support from the DFL in your race. After a short presentation, we will open this up for questions!

Plan a Summer Spark Event
Join us in building relationships by hosting a Summer Spark Event, which is simply a gathering of DFLers in your community. As Democrats, we must show up in our communities. The majority of those who attended our DFL Listening Sessions let us know that it was their first time attending a DFL event. To defeat Trump and the Republican agenda, we must come together in community and build relationships that will help us organize for change. Below, you can find a link to create your event on the DFL Events page, as well as training opportunities each Wednesday in May from 5-6 PM to learn about hosting different types of events.
