ST PAUL – Today, Minnesota DFL Chair Richard Carlbom released the following statement after several Minnesota GOP Senators who represent swing districts – or who have openly expressed interest in running for statewide office – skipped a vote on whether to condemn Donald Trump’s pardons for the violent January 6 rioters who attacked and injured over 140 police officers.
“Every Minnesota Republican who refused to condemn pardons for violent January 6 rioters who attacked cops has utterly failed their leadership test,” said Minnesota DFL Chair Richard Carlbom. “Whether they are running for statewide office or for reelection, the Minnesota DFL will hold accountable every Republican who put violent criminals and Donald Trump over common sense and decency.”
Here is the full list of every Republican State Senator who skipped today’s vote. The Minnesota Senate allows remote voting and proxy voting.
