ST PAUL – Today, the Minnesota DFL Party released the following statement after Minnesota GOP Reps. Tom Emmer, Brad Finstad, Michelle Fischbach, and Pete Stauber voted for the Republican budget blueprint that would pay for massive tax cuts for corporations and billionaires by gutting Medicaid and other essential social services.
“By providing Washington Republicans with the deciding votes to pass this budget plan, Minnesota’s GOP Representatives have betrayed the thousands of Minnesotans who rely on Medicaid for life saving health care,” said Minnesota DFL Chair Richard Carlbom. “If this budget becomes law, Minnesotans who use services like Medicaid and SNAP will become poorer so that Donald Trump can pay for his plan to make big corporations and billionaires wealthier.”
