A new report by CNN revealed 12 of the Washington Republicans’ top recruits for the 2022 midterms, including MN02 candidate Tyler Kistner, have sought to undermine the legitimacy of the 2020 election. Their refusal to recognize the election as free and fair and instead peddle baseless claims of election fraud demonstrates the party’s embrace of conspiracy theories and its continued radical rightward trajectory. And when asked by CNN, Tyler Kistner’s campaign refused to answer whether he believes President Biden won the 2020 election.

Kandiyohi County DFL Party Opens Office in Willmar

Today, the Kandiyohi County DFL Party is announcing the opening of an office in Willmar, Minnesota in partnership with the Minnesota DFL Party. The space will be used to host phone banks, launch door-to-door canvassing, and hold community engagement events. This is the first time in decades that Kandiyohi DFLers have had an office in a non-election year.

Today, Republican Representatives Jim Hagedorn, Tom Emmer, Michelle Fischbach, and Pete Stauber voted against raising the debt limit. If these Republican Representatives had succeeded in blocking a debt limit increase, the U.S. economy would have been plunged into recession, millions of jobs would have been lost, and seniors would have experienced dramatic cuts to the Social Security benefits they rely on. Fortunately, Democrats were able to raise the debt limit and save our economy from the abyss.
