ICYMI: Jensen Holds Fundraiser with Disgraced Former Legislator Credibly Accused of Inappropriately Touching Daughter

St. Cloud legislative candidates Tama Theis and Aaron Henning also accepted large contributions from Jim Knoblach

ST PAUL – Last week, Scott Jensen held a fundraiser hosted by Jim Knoblach – a disgraced former St. Cloud GOP State Representative who abandoned his 2018 reelection bid after being credibly accused of inappropriately touching his own daughter. Minnesota GOP Party Chairman David Hahn, Congressman Tom Emmer, and Congresswoman Michelle Fischbach also attended.

The fundraiser was held at Knoblach’s St. Cloud residence and the event required a minimum donation of $250. In addition to raising money for Jensen’s campaign, Knoblach has also contributed large sums to the campaigns of St. Cloud State Senate candidate Tama Theis and St. Cloud State House candidate Aaron Henning.

“Any candidate for public office who would partner with a man like Jim Knoblach just to raise some money has put politics over Minnesota values,” said DFL Chairman Ken Martin, “Scott Jensen, Tama Theis, and Aaron Henning should immediately return any donations raised from or with the help of Knoblach and should publicly apologize for their involvement with him.”
