ST PAUL – Today, January 22, Minnesota DFL Chairman Ken Martin released the following statement after GOP Rep. Pete Stauber tried to take credit for a Biden administration grant to replace the Blatnik Bridge, which was made possible by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law – which he voted against.
“Pete Stauber is shamelessly trying to take credit for a project that is only possible because of a law he voted against,” said DFL Chairman Ken Martin. “The Blatnik Bridge is getting funding because of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law that President Biden and Minnesota Democrats fought for – the same law that Pete Stauber voted against. Pete Stauber’s constituents deserve a member of Congress who will vote for commonsense bipartisan legislation like the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, not a hypocrite who pretends that he did.”
This is not the first time that Stauber has claimed credit for projects whose funding he voted against.
