ST. PAUL – Today, August 26, the Minnesota DFL announced that the DFL state fair booth has obliterated its all-time records. From opening day through Sunday, the DFL raised over $190,000 in sales at the state fair booth – already breaking the record for the entire combined 12-day total for any other state fair on record (the previous record for the DFL booth was $164,000 raised during the entire 2019 fair). The DFL’s enormous haul was fueled by over 6,000 sales transactions.
On the opening day of the state fair alone, the DFL booth set a single-day record, selling almost $70,000 in state fair merchandise (the previous single-day record was $19,000), selling out of several different types of Harris-Walz merchandise. The famous Harris-Walz camo hats sold out in less than an hour.
“Minnesotans’ overwhelming enthusiasm for the Harris-Walz ticket has supercharged our volunteer sign-ups and grassroots fundraising, and now it’s fueling our success at the state fair,” said Minnesota DFL Chair Ken Martin. “Now is the time for everyone who is fired up to elect DFL candidates to turn that enthusiasm into the door-knocks and phone calls that will decide this competitive election.”
The DFL has broken multiple fundraising and volunteer sign up records since Vice President Kamala Harris and Minnesota’s own Governor Tim Walz took over the top of the ticket.
