Judge Rejects MNGOP’s Request to Nullify Tabke’s Election

House GOP Leader Lisa Demuth has said that Republicans should overturn Brad Tabke’s election even if the courts refused to do so

ST PAUL – Today, a judge rejected the GOP’s request to nullify Rep. Brad Tabke’s election and to order a new election. Minnesota House GOP Leader Lisa Demuth recently said that she plans to overturn Brad Tabke’s election – even if the courts refused to do so.

“The voters and the courts have both spoken, and it is time for Republicans to accept that they lost this election,” said Minnesota DFL Chair Ken Martin. “Defying the courts and the voters to overturn an election would be an outrageous and illegitimate abuse of power. House Republicans should come back from the brink and abandon this outrageous partisan power grab. A partisan vote by Republican legislators to overturn this election cannot be tolerated and will not go unanswered.”
