Volunteer Coordinators


Full Time

Position Overview:

The DFL is hiring two Volunteer Coordinators to work on behalf of state and local candidates this election cycle, with a strong focus on the Governor’s race. This is a regional-level role that will work closely with local elected officials, DFL organizing units, DFL candidates and other partner organizations to empower, engage, and mobilize voters during the 2022 election campaign.

Location: Minneapolis-St. Paul

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Staff events throughout the state as needed
  • Maintain and build organized lists of relevant contacts at the state and local level
  • Provide context for memos and briefing for principals and high-level surrogates
  • Assist in planning and executing events for Democratic candidates
  • Additional tasks as instructed by the Statewide Field Director
  • Implementing a comprehensive volunteer based field program
  • Recruiting, training, and maintaining volunteers.

Qualifications summary

  • 1+ cycles of campaign or related experience. Experience with VAN preferred.
  • Demonstrated commitment to advancing racial justice and equity
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working in fast-paced environments, flexibility, and familiarity with campaign hours and pressures
  • Access to a car

Compensation is $3,000- 4,000 per month, commensurate with experience.
