Digital Content Coordinator, Minnesota DFL

REPORTS TO: Deputy Digital Director

LOCATION: Minneapolis, MN

The Minnesota DFL is hiring a Digital Content Coordinator that will help elect Democrats up and down the ballot with a special focus on the Governor’s race. As the Digital Content Coordinator, you will work closely with the DFL’s content and messaging teams to create compelling copy, graphics, and videos that elevate the message of our party, as well as specific candidates The Digital Content Coordinator should be a strong writer and creative that can collaborate with a larger campaign team.

This is a full-time, paid position based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The Digital Content Coordinator reports to the Deputy Digital Director.


Salary:  $3,000-$4000 month, based on experience

What you would do in this role:

  • Pitch innovative digital content ideas to the Deputy Digital Director and larger digital team
  • Draft digital content for social platforms
  • Post content and help manage all social media platforms
  • Help manage the content calendar and daily content strategy
  • Help create and design graphics and videos for all digital entities
  • Work with the digital team to sort through our graphic and video content storage infrastructure
  • Update guides for style and messaging
  • Work with the larger team to enact the digital plan


Qualifications you should have for this position:

  • Strong writing skills
  • Strong attention to accuracy and detail
  • Ability to quickly pick up the voices, tones, and core messages of principals
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Experience writing and editing social media content that drives action and maintains a consistent voice
  • Internship-level to 2 years experience creating social media content for a digital program for a campaign, organization, or company
