ST PAUL – Today, the Minnesota DFL Party released the following statement after Donald Trump selected J.D. Vance as his running mate.
“J.D. Vance is a 2020 election denier who opposes abortion even for survivors of rape and incest, which makes him a great fit for the Minnesota Republican Party,” said DFL Party Chair Ken Martin. “Just as Donald Trump has doubled down on far-right extremism by picking J.D. Vance, the Minnesota GOP has repeatedly doubled down on extreme candidates and ideologies that are out of touch with Minnesotans. The DFL is ready to get to work to stop the Trump-Vance ticket and the Minnesota GOP from bringing Project 2025 and the MAGA agenda to Minnesota.”
