DFL Statement on Bianca Virnig’s Victory in Special Election Primary
ST PAUL – Tonight, November 16, Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor (DFL) Party Chairman Ken Martin released the following statement after Bianca Virnig won the primary and became the Democratic nominee in the special election for Minnesota House District 52B. Virnig currently serves on the Rosemount-Apple Valley-Eagan school board.
“Bianca Virnig has devoted her career to giving back to our public schools and the families they serve,” said DFL Party Chairman Ken Martin. “When she gets to the Legislature, Bianca will fight for fully funded public schools, for more affordable childcare, and against corporate greed. We never take any special election outcome for granted, and we will leave nothing on the table as we work to elect Bianca as Minnesota’s newest state legislator.”
In addition to being a school board member, Virnig serves on the Deerwood Elementary PTO and is the Director of Health and Safety for an educational services co-op. She lives in Eagan with her husband and three children.
