DFL Party Hires New Communications Director

ST PAUL – Today, the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor (DFL) Party announced the hiring of Darwin Forsyth, who will serve as the party’s next Communications Director. Forsyth most recently worked as Deputy Communications Director for the Walz-Flanagan reelection campaign in 2022 and has also served previously in communications roles for Secretary of State Steve Simon, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, and other political campaigns and government agencies. His first day on the job will be Monday, October 9.

“Darwin is a battle-tested communications professional who will serve our team well as we get ready for 2024,” said DFL Party Chairman Ken Martin. “The Minnesota DFL Communications Director plays a critical role in telling our story to Minnesotans, and Darwin is well-suited for that work as we continue to build the foundation for success in next year’s elections.”

“The Minnesota DFL has earned its reputation as one of the most effective and successful state parties in the nation,” said Darwin Forsyth. “From paid-family leave to universal school meals, DFLers have delivered victories that have made Minnesota a better place. I’m excited to join the team that helped make those victories possible.”
