Minnesota House Republicans attempted to use their illegal kangaroo court to hire lawyers at the law firm where Rep. Harry Niska – the number two House Republican – works as a partner
ST PAUL – Today, the DFL released the following statement after Minnesota House Republicans attempted to use their illegal kangaroo court to hire lawyers at the law firm where Rep. Harry Niska – the number two House Republican – works as a partner.
“Using this sham kangaroo court to try to illegally funnel taxpayer dollars to Rep. Niska’s colleagues is beyond the pale,” said Minnesota DFL Chair Ken Martin. “This galling kickback to a Republican legislator’s colleagues is just the latest evidence the Minnesota Republicans are more interested in power grabs and self-dealing than delivering for Minnesotans. It is past time for Republicans to abandon this illegal power grab and their plans to oust a duly-elected DFL legislator so that order can be restored in the Legislature.”
House DFLers are not using taxpayer funds to pay for their lawsuit to stop the illegal GOP power grab.
